Equal parts strategy and sarcasm, designer and sports mom, keynote stages and school pickups.
I'm Shannel Aiken—and while I've collected a few titles over the years, the ones on a business card have never told the whole story.
I'm an entrepreneur who learned business by building one. A speaker who'd rather tell you the lesson behind the mistake than pretend I never made one. A leader who believes relationships will take you places strategy alone never will. A creative who still gets excited by a big idea. And a wifey, "momtie" building all of this with a very clear understanding of who I'm building it for.
I didn't build my business by becoming someone else.
I built it by becoming more of myself.
And somewhere between building a seven-figure company, raising a family, leading teams, serving my community, speaking on stages, navigating pivots, making mistakes, figuring things out and occasionally asking, "Now why in the hell did I agree to this?"...
I learned something.
The business strategies matter.
The systems matter. The numbers matter. The customer experience matters. Leadership matters.
But none of it works for very long if the person at the center of it all is disappearing.
